Raymond Brown III AIA
Senior Project Director
The compulsion to build things and to understand how they work first drew Ray Brown to architecture. He quickly came to appreciate, however, that the best architects do more than just design buildings. They interpret their client’s needs, desires and vision and develop the design that will bring them to life. That’s the approach he brings to his work today.
Though he has earned architectural awards, such recognition is secondary to the satisfaction of the client and the enduring quality of the finished product. He believes the architect’s job is to share the client’s dreams, not to impose his own dream or ideals upon them.
Ray earned a master’s degree in architecture from Tulane University in 2004. Throughout his career, he’s been involved in many of Broadmoor’s largest design/build jobs as well as some landmark projects around the region. For instance, he was lead architect on the $80 million Jazzland Theme Park in eastern New Orleans and on the Student Center for Holy Cross School at their new campus.
