Ruth’s Chris Steak House - Cincinnati, OH
Broadmoor Design Group performed complete architectural and interior design services for this Ruth’s Chris location. Located at The Banks, a newly developed retail and residential area in the heart of the riverfront district, Ruth’s Chris stands in an ideal location between Paul Brown Stadium and Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. This 9,673 square foot, 2-story establishment offers a playful, yet sophisticated, experience to guests.
The Cincinnati location incorporates a whimsical feel in every aspect of design, captured in curved and wavy accents throughout the establishment. Broadmoor Design Group chose to unify the restaurant’s 2 levels with a focal point, an elegant, open stairway adjoined with a nearly 9-foot tall wine case, both clad in walnut millwork. The curvature of the wine case, along with stair hand rails and ironwork, detailed glass accents, and light fixtures throughout, play to the restaurant’s whimsical appeal. Broadmoor incorporated the dark walnut woodwork and luxe leather panels to bring a rich and warm feel to the space.
An important aspect in all Ruth’s Chris locations is the bar. Broadmoor designed a 565 square foot u-shaped bar and three seating areas encompassing 1,507 square feet for a total of more than 2,000 square feet, which accounts for most of the restaurant’s 1st floor. A photo mirror showcasing the Roebling Bridge hangs at the bar, bringing a regional feel to a typically New Orleans style restaurant.
Extensive rework of glass was performed to maximize views of the city and nearby stadiums. The dining area is spread among the restaurant’s two levels with a seating capacity of 237 guests, including bar seating. Broadmoor selected all of the seating and finishes, coordinated work with consultants, and remained active in the project throughout construction.
